Also located on the disk is a comprehensive selection of forms for use with various activities.

 By law, (Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 section 2 (3)) if you employ five or more employees you must have a written health and safety policy. The policy sets out how you manage health and safety in your organisation by stating who does what, and when and how it will be done. We provide two health & safety policy packages. Our entry level package is designed for smaller companies. The policy is presented in PDF and comes on a CD-ROM. Our interactive Health and Safety manual package includes a bound copy of the manual with master copy of the manual on CD ROM or USB flash card. It also includes a Health and Safety policy statement for display in your offices and a presentation copy of the interactive CD-ROM displayed in a DVD case that is intended for submission to clients and prospective clients.

Health & Safety Consultant (Director)

 

Martin has over 20 years’ experience in workplace safety, including construction, demolition and manufacturing. He is also experienced in safety at sports grounds and is an accomplished trainer. Martin is a chartered member of I.O.S.H. and a full member of I.I.R.S.M, and an Incorporated member of the Association of Project Safety (APS). He has also been accepted onto the Government backed Occupational Safety & Health Consultants Register (OSHCR).

 

 

Health & Safety Consultant (Director)

 

Phil has worked in the health & safety profession since 1989 and during that time, has acted as Project Safety Manager on several multi-million pound projects. He is an experienced training provider, and has recently obtained a BTEC Level 3 in Education and Training.  Phil is a Chartered Member of I.O.S.H. and a full member of I.I.R.S.M. He has also been accepted onto the Occupational Safety & Health Consultants Register (OSHCR).

 

 

Health & Safety Consultant

 

Kath has a BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Technology and Management and MSc in Health, Safety and Environmental Management.  She is a chartered member of I.O.S.H., an Incorporated member of the Association of Project Safety (RMaPS), and a full member of I.I.R.S.M.  She has also been accepted onto the Government backed Occupational Safety & Health Consultants Register (OSHCR).  She has extensive experience in safety management within the construction industry and in the former CDM Co-ordinator role on a variety of civil engineering, construction and demolition projects.

 

 

Office Manager, Graphic Design & IT

 

Phil is responsible for the design & presentation of client documentation. He is constantly reviewing and updating the content of SWSC’s Safety Management Systems, a task which has resulted in the creation of a fully customised interactive Health & Safety Manual (CD-ROM or USB Card) containing Policy Statements, Safe Systems of Work and a wide range of safety management forms. Phil also designed and maintains our websites and iPhone app.

Andy has many years’ experience in electrical engineering and health and safety.  Andy is also an experienced trainer and delivers many of our popular training courses including health and safety awareness, manual handling, work at height and asbestos awareness. Andy holds the NEBOSH General and Construction Certificates and is a member of I.O.S.H.

Alan has a wide experience in construction, having served as Project Safety Manager on a number of multi-million pound contracts.  Alan holds the NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

Lee gained his construction experience over several years.  Whilst working on a wide range of projects, Lee has also acted as a contract supervisor. Lee holds the NEBOSH general certificate.

Dylan has several years of experience as a health and safety manager working for construction companies and as an external consultant, both in the UK and abroad.

 

 

Health & Safety Consultant - SSIP Administrator

 

Jeff gained his experience in health and safety, having spent after nearly 20 years in construction site management. Jeff hold the NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

 

 

Safety & Training Administrator

 

Nina is responsible for the preparation and collation of post construction Health and Safety Files.  This involves liaising with designers, sub-contractors and clients on a regular basis.  She is also our training administrator, dealing with enquiries, bookings, course arrangements and certification.

 

 

SSiP Administrator (Part Time)

 

Natalie is an experienced finance and office manager, and provides administrative support to our consultants and client base, in particular that relating to processing SSIP applications.

 

 

Bookkeeper

 

Tracy is responsible for maintaining our efficient and accurate accounting management system, as well as providing administrative support to our consultants and client base.

 

 

Health & Safety Trainer

 

Charlie is an experienced trainer with a background in construction.  He worked within the Further Education sector for approximately 30 years as a Senior Lecturer and the College Safety Advisor.  His professional qualifications include Chartered Member of I.O.S.H. and Member of I.I.R.S.M.  He is also a PTLLS approved tutor (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector).  He is experienced in lecturing on various health and safety related courses, including the CITB ConstructionSkill’s Site Safety Plus schemes, Scaffold Inspection, etc.

According to Health and Safety Executive figures, in the year 2015, 143 workers were fatally injured. Work related accidents occur in all industries and include slips and trips, falls, falling objects and accidents involving vehicles and machinery. Yet many of these accidents may have been prevented with good management
