South Wales Safety launches RSS news feed

From Thursday February 12th, South Wales Safety Consultancy Ltd will be launching a new FREE Health & Safety News feed subscription service.

News feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and video in one place, as soon as its published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

Feeds are also known as RSS. There is some discussion as to what RSS stands for, but most people believe it is 'Really Simple Syndication'. In essence, the feeds themselves are just web pages, designed to be read by computers rather than people.

New Scaffold Safety Inspection Training Course Available

January 2010

This course is aimed at Site Managers, Supervisors and those who are responsible for ensuring basic un-designed scaffolding is correctly erected, used, maintained and inspected, in accordance with

the requirements of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, the European Standard

BS EN 12811-1 and the NASC guidance TG20:08. 

The classroom based training is supported by a practical inspection.  Delegates are

required to pass a written test plus a practical examination.  Successful delegates will

receive a certificate plus a personal training ID card.
