Phil Thomas CMIOSH MIIRSM

Safety Consultant and CDM Co-Ordinator. (Director)

Phil has worked in the health & safety profession since 1989 and during that time, has acted as Project Safety Manager on several multi-million pound projects. He is an experienced training provider, a chartered member of I.O.S.H. and a full member of the I.I.R.S.M.

Martin Smart CMIOSH RMaPS MIIRSM

Safety Consultant and CDM Co-Ordinator (Director)

Martin has nearly 20 years experience in workplace safety, including construction, demolition and manufacturing. He is also experienced in safety at sports grounds and is an accomplished trainer. Martin is a chartered member of I.O.S.H. and a full member of the I.I.R.S.M, and a registered member (CDM Co-Ordinator) with the APS.

Katherine Darney MSc MIIRSM CMIOSH RMaPS

Safety Consultant & CDM Co-Ordinator

Kath holds the NEBOSH General Certificate, a BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Technology and Management, and a Masters Degree in Health, Safety and Environmental Management.

She is a Member of the Association of Project Safety (MaPS). Kath has extensive experience in safety management within the construction industry and in the role of CDM Co-ordinator (formerly Planning Supervisor) on a variety of civil engineering, construction and demolition projects. Kath is a chartered member of I.O.S.H. and a full member of the I.I.R.S.M.

Phil Smart
Office Manager, Graphic Design & IT
Phil is responsible for the design & presentation of client documentation. He is constantly reviewing and updating the content of SWSC’s Safety Management Systems, a task which has resulted in the creation of a fully customised interactive CD-Rom Manual containing Policy Statements, Safe Systems of Work and a wide range of safety management forms. Phil designed and maintains our website.

Andy Hall Tech IOSH
Safety Consultant
Andy has many years experience in electrical engineering and health and safety. Andy is also an experienced trainer and delivers many training courses including health and safety awareness, manual handling and asbestos. Andy holds the NEBOSH General and Construction Certificates, and is a member of I.O.S.H.

Bryn Llewellyn Tech IOSH

Safety Consultant

Bryn has a number of years experience in health and safety and holds the NEBOSH General and Construction Certificates. He is currently working towards his NVQ level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice. Bryn has also achieved NVQ level 3 in two construction trades, has management experience and is a trained IT Technician. Bryn holds a wealth of practical knowledge specialising in the construction industry.

Alan Thomas BSc (Hons)
Safety Consultant
Alan has a wide experience in construction, having served as Project Safety Officer on a number of multi-million pound contracts. Alan holds the NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

Ken Smith
Safety Consultant
Construction Safety Consultant with over 40 years experience. Ken spent 26 years as HMIF based in the Cardiff HSE Office.

Aoife Fitzpatrick BA (Hons)

Safety & Training Administrator

Aoife is responsible for the preparation and collation of post construction health & safety files. This involves liaising with designers, sub-contractors and clients on a regular basis. She is also our training administrator, dealing with enquiries, bookings, course arrangements and certification.

Sophie James BSc (Hons)

Accounts & General Administrator

Sophie is responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting system as well as providing administrative support.

Jeff Gibbs

Health & Safety Advisor

Jeff has been involved in Health and Safety for several years after nearly 20 yrs experience in construction site management, he hold the Nebosh construction certificate
